A Nuclear Health Spa for the Year 2030

Could Embracing the Possible Health Benefits of Toxicity Persuade Society to Accept Nuclear Power? Radiance Resort is a work of future fiction, it investigates a society obsessed with youth and medical miracle cures. Mammals living in the Chernobyl exclusion zone receive 8 to 15 msvs of radiation every day. When these mammals were analysed, it was found that they were less likely to develop cancer, suggesting that small amounts of radiation might be good for us.

It’s become an oasis of plants and animals. Now, many locals are sneaking in to eat the delicious radioactive fruits and mushrooms that have flourished in the absence of human inhabitation.

Many alternative medicines operate on the principle of hormesis, the idea that poisons have the opposite effect in small doses. In the 1920's, products containing radioactive matter became very popular. "Radithor" a kind of uranium water marketed as "a cure for the living dead" sold particularly well.

At the Radiance Resort and health club, lead-oxide textile shielding creates a varied landscape of gamma radiation. A hierarchy of treatments are offered, and radiation level is indicative of exclusivity. Guests can bathe on an incinerator ash beach, indulge in some uranium enriched super-food, or enjoy a radioactive seaweed wrap. You know what they say. If it doesn’t kill you, it only makes you stronger. Check out some of the spa-licious treatments available.

Typical gates are just rows and columns of aluminum tubing with no frills but iGate sets the standard in premium functionality and security. The well balanced lightweight structure and the use of aluminium ensures the high-tech gate's outstanding performance and it's environmental friendliness. Next to the free choice of colour of the frame and the filling, illuminated by colour changing LED’s, there is a large choice of frame fillings for the architect, from conventional beams to artistic patterns in perforated plating, adapting to any kind of architecture.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to print where ever you go? The Book Printer is a super compact printer in the shape of a book. It uses Bluetooth to connect with compatible devices and measures a modest 50 X 257 X 182 mm. A very smart book I tell you. Ink and paper?

The Ramo Branch Multi Tap is a dramatic representation of power consumption and how gadget-dependent we are. It looks more artistic than practical and can literally grow to branch out by simply fitting in modular socket stubs. The tree may look good but I won’t promise beauty in the ensuing wiring chaos.

Rocking Two Times Harder

The Roly-Poly 2 Lamp is a step up from its previous version the Roly-Poly 1. This new iteration rocks in the looks department and sways with equal spring, just like the previous one. What's cool is that it transforms to a lamp from a coat hanger by simply adding on the shade. It's crafted from birch plywood, maple and Korean paper. Remember those wobbling punch bag clowns?
