Posted: 09 Sep 2010 06:24 AM PDT The idea is pretty direct and in-your-face….we need to conserve our electricity and can't have you squandering it away. So how do we implement this? By taking tiny innovative steps, like introducing a timer concept for our lights; especially for the ones on the staircase. A device called the Flat Light does just this, the LED Hourglass interface is quite indicative of its intentions. Once the LED grains reach the bottom, time's up and lights out! I wonder if you can set the time limits for the whole system, in advance. Question is, are you willing to make the necessary changes to conserve? The Flat Light won a Liteon Award this year! Posted: 09 Sep 2010 05:07 AM PDT The scene is this: you need a table but only occasionally and you don't want it to occupy much space in your home. So how do we do this? Build it into the wall or take the innovative "hang it on the wall" approach? I vote for the latter and hence The Folding Table! It stays on the wall…doubling up as a bulletin board, but when you need it…3 easy steps and it's a full-fledge table. What's really cool is that Endrit has designed the wall hooks to function as a coat rack when the table is in use. So thoughtful! Designer: Endrit Hajno ---------- |
Posted: 09 Sep 2010 04:43 AM PDT “Time and tide wait for no man”, so goes the saying and that's the exact feeling I get when I see this roll-calendar called "The Past". As you pull out the paper, the dates fly past, compelling you to realize the value of time diminishing. This convenient roll splits time into days without repeating….and when wasted, it becomes a scribble pad! Yeah, no time like the present…so stop dwelling in the past! Orchid for a Solo Sexual Experience Posted: 09 Sep 2010 12:10 AM PDT This project goes by the name “Sono Love,” and it is a sex toy for women. Made specifically for the solo sport, the masturbatory day-to-day of a female. Performing this act of pleasure on one’s self can be different each time, a different set of movements required to acquire a higher or lower sense of electricity and release. The Sono Love, its shape taking inspiration from the ray and the orchid, has a centralized vibrating cartridge that flows across the entire intuitively sensually shaped object, allowing the lady to satisfy herself in a grip of ways. The Sono Love can be used as an extension of the hand, working the woman through the “phase of excitement” all the way up to the “back-formation phase,” taking the user on a journey she’s never before traversed. Many positions and many uses, many solutions and many ends. Made of silicone. Packaged with a cute little pocket pillow for hiding on your bed. Designer: Patrycja Domanska ---------- |
Posted: 09 Sep 2010 12:03 AM PDT A simple dream, a simple reality. This is the “Gesture” remote control. It’s sort of a ring shape, made to fit in your hand, made to be intuitive to your touch. Using GestIC by IDENT Technology AG, Gesture is one giant trackpad with clicker embedded in. Made for your television, but think of the video game applications! What a magnificent tool this is going to be for those who get creative. Functionality and special abilities are built in to the television itself, such as the ability to search for and play content without a keypad. Activated with a simple circular unlocking, the menu pops up and you’re allowed to do everything fabulous with the ease and simplicity of a computer screen coupled with a trackpad. Watch the video below for more info, and keep your eyes and hands from exploding with excitement if at all possible. The technology for this remote is done by IDENT Technology AG and the interactive elements like the menus and the buttons and such are done by ZINOSIGN®. Design: LUNAR Europe ---------- |
