But Is It Faster Than A Rabbit Posted: 05 May 2010 08:51 AM PDT It’s a USB flash drive inspired by a turtle. Just slide the toggle to make the turtle head, I mean connector pop open. Pretty straight forward eh? It doesn’t do anything special. It’s just freaking CUTE. Look at the eyes! Hey, I’d buy it. One question tho; is it faster than a rabbit? Designer: Emir Rifat ISIK |
Capture Cleavage Pictures The Legit Way Posted: 05 May 2010 01:58 AM PDT Aerial Capture is a digital camera that can capture precious moments of your life from a height of 20 meters above you. Hovering over your personal stratosphere, this quirky cam is attached to a helium inflatable balloon, which strings onto a hand-held reel and trigger. Some naughty boys would love to capture cleavage and I don't really blame them for wanting an aerial view of the mountains! The only catch is that the camera doesn't have flash, so sneaky pictures of folks in the dark are a strict no! Memory Stick and USB compatibility round up the specks. Designer: Matthew Clark |
Posted: 05 May 2010 01:16 AM PDT Necessity is the mother of invention they say, and designer Terence Simmons has firsthand experience with it. Forced to be on crutches for a while, he escaped serious injuries due to a fall he took, when his backpack's strap got entangled in his crutches. The incident left its mark, and with creative juices on a high….he came up with the Swack! Sweater + Backpack! Revolutionary? No…but functional, cool and handy…YES! Designer: Terence Simmons |
Posted: 05 May 2010 12:15 AM PDT Welcome to simplicity in measurement. This right here is the “Tutti,” a measuring spoon that has not one, not two, not three, but four measuring spoons on it. The most advanced simplicity in measuring spoons I’ve seen in the past is the set of spoons on a ring. This is better than that. It’s 4 bits of ability in one piece of metal. That’s rockin. Also it looks slick. I wanna ask you – do you love the simplification of our industrial design world? Or are you into change for other reasons, such as style, fashion, cultural reasons? I’d love to see a cross stamped into these. If you’re a designer yourself – have you designed something simpler than this? If you’re a human being living in a home with a kitchen area – what’s the simplest measuring spoon you’ve seen? Designer: Jessie C. Chou |
Posted: 05 May 2010 12:03 AM PDT The original title of the story of Little Red Riding Hood was “Little Red Hood.” That title doesn’t really play anymore because that would mean that there was a community of red people living in a group somewhere. What we’ve got HERE is a community of WOOD people living in a group somewhere. And that somewhere is your childrens bedroom! Hooray! This set of dolls are “Baika Dolls” designed by Zuzanna Bukala. Bound and determined to win your heart. What these toys do is not immediately evident. You might think they’re just some gorgeously cute toys for playing with, clicking and clacking around in a joyous manner. But nay! I’ll tell you what they’re capable of! They make sounds! Each of these little fairy tale characters emits a different sound once they come in contact with the board that comes with the set. Depending on the scenery and the sound you yourself can program in, a connection is made, and a smile happens! BONUS: The word Baika is a phonetic spelling of the Polish word “Bajka” which basically means “story.” Cute! Everything is pinewood and hand-painted. Designer: Zuzanna Bukala |
Posted: 05 May 2010 12:02 AM PDT You are terrible at breaking eggs! Or not. I know I’m terrible at it, there’s always a bit of shell in there with the white. But those days of crunchy scramblers are over! This object right here is an egg cracker, it’s called the “Punch-Bell Egg Cracker” and it’s fabulously superior to all the other cracking instruments I’ve ever used. Granted, my methods of hitting an egg with a hammer weren’t the most inspired bits of my thoughtful history, but this metal object is tops. Stainless steel egg cracking loveliness. You may have seen this object on one of the original Iron Chef episodes back when you watched TV. All you’ve got to do is place the hat on the egg and drop the ball down twice. It employs the perfect amount of force in just the right place to crack the top of the egg off for a perfect pour of that scrumptious early day breakfast meal. Cracka! Designer: H. Dolp, Markus Roling, and V. Zitzman [ Buy it Here, Punch-Bell Egg Cracker is available for $40.00 @ YD Store ] Punch-Bell Egg Cracker is available for $40.00 @ YD Store |
