Electric Folding Bike Goes Zoom Zoom

Posted: 01 Apr 2010 05:24 AM PDT

The CYOOO is pedelec bike, a neologism for electrically assisted pedaling. Helps with difficult rides when you need that extra boost or when you’re just too lazy to bother but the other interesting tidbit is the unique folding mechanism. The saddle folds down, the head tube collapses inwards, and the handle bars rotate 90 degrees. Make no mistake this is a full 20″ bike so the folding feature makes it a bit more manageable.

The geometry of the frame is based upon the classic diamond frame. To integrate the pedelec components (electric motor, rechargeable battery, control electronics etc.) the frame of the bike is made up of two parts, the outer skin and the inner construction. The outer skin is laser cut out of aluminum and molded into shape. The inner construction consists of hard plastic. Ribbing inside gives stability and a balanced weight ratio. The outer skin, the inner construction and the axis holders are bonded.

A Perfume For A Man’s Man

Posted: 01 Apr 2010 05:04 AM PDT

Hey now who doesn’t love a good smelling man? Even the brawniest, burliest men a.k.a construction workers deserve a little eau de toilette. Art Lebedev makes it a point to create a scent worthy of a man with notes of bergamot, rosemary, birch, cedar, iris, and cardamon called the Spirit Level. But even the toughest men wouldn’t be caught dead with a frou frou bottle so this one comes packaged and functions as a level.

Burn Your Table Down

Posted: 01 Apr 2010 01:00 AM PDT

Actually very safe! Not for burning your table down. Unless you want to have a table FIGHT! Table vs table! This right here is the “Slate Tabletop Fireplace” by Gido Wahrmann. He doesn’t recommend letting the little kiddies use these, however, as they are 2 parts awesome, 1 part fire! They’re made to mimic the look of logs, turning simply upon their slate base. It’s like you’ve got fire… right where you want it!

Each of these firestarters are made of stainless steel, each of them 7.5″ long, and the base they’re anchored to is a lovely 10×14″ in size. Just the size you need! How nice of them!

*Again, remember, these are NOT going to burn your table down, that’s just the title. Instead they are going to light up your heart, eyes, and soul, with their excellence.

Tea Calendar

Posted: 01 Apr 2010 12:55 AM PDT

Calendar Teabags are basically a box of teabags with a variety of teas packaged as the dates of that month. A novel idea for tea buffs and those who appreciate niche products. You can pique interest by packing a mix of tea flavors from around the world, more like a collectible edition. Have Earl Grey one day and Darjeeling Oolongs the other!

Don’t Iron Bras At Work

Posted: 01 Apr 2010 12:05 AM PDT

We are on a Lebedev overdrive today and rightly so. Their concepts are seemingly perfect for today's fun day! What we have in this batch is a coffee mug re-design that puts the "energy of hot coffee to practical use." In simple terms, the heat from your piping hot coffee-filled mug “Ironius” can be used to iron out a few creases of your shirt. Perfectly handy for those naughty ones who indulge in office romances. *Nina in her silky black bra are not included in the package!

Scoot On Into Spring

Posted: 01 Apr 2010 12:03 AM PDT

From where I’m posting this post, it’s springtime. Springtime is in full effect. And you know what that means? It’s time to get scootin’. All you yuppies get out your yuppiemobiles and yuppie your way into saving the spring and summer environment! If you live where I do, up in Minnesota, you’ve only got part of a year to be able to roll those babies out on the pavement, so get em spinning! Do some jumps, flip a few backflips, weave through some cones and whatnot! Yay for the Urban Scooter!

Incidentally, that’s what this design is called. It’s the “Urban Scooter” by designer Daniel Dayag. He describes this scoot as a high-end electric scooter “for people who are looking for unusual design in their daily travels in the city.” I habeeb it! I’ll take one, pal, I’ll get those yuppies all yuppied up for the year!

We’ll have a yuppie scooter festival the likes of which you’ve never seen! You know what else yuppies love? The crushing of the head. But not on the scooter! Stay safe everyone!

Magically USB Delicious!

Posted: 01 Apr 2010 12:00 AM PDT

It’s a magic tophat! And this magic… it is engineering science. What one hat here does is the work of a much more scientific looking USB hub! But I say to you this! How fun is that box you’ve got, that silly looking, non-fun USB hub you’ve got over there? None at all! That’s not fun at all. What were you thinking! Instead you could be over here having the time of your life using this magic hat! It’s called “Cylindrus” and it contains no rabbits.

It does however contain magic. Magically connecting 8 USB cords of your choice, all fit neatly into this fabulous looking hat. The only thing not-magic about this project is the amount of people it took to bring it to fruition! That, my friends, instead, is part of the design process. A very non-magic time.

USB spells for everyone!
