For The Aging Chinese In A Western-styled Care Facility Posted: 26 Feb 2010 03:17 AM PST The LUNE Dinnerware may have noble intentions but somehow it negates the pure essence of porcelain and art. Craftsmanship and aesthetic appeal is top-notch: the dishes incorporate culturally familiar forms and symbols that are raised to promote better posture and thermal for keeping the food warm. Design Philosophy-wise; it's this Chinese style dishes meant for retirement homes and homes for the aged where Western-styled cuisine is served to Oriental folks. So I wouldn't even want to get into the question, why leave your old folks at such alien facility? Designer: Christine Lieu |
Posted: 26 Feb 2010 01:16 AM PST Aurora is a watch that doesn't have an apparent dial. There's more of a transparent face with no signs of the hour or minutes hand. It's not as if the designer forgot to put them there, he just got innovative and decided to perk up this analog piece by including funky laser light beams for the hands. The red beam indicates the minutes and the blue depicts the hour. They appear only when you tap the bevel edge around the watch ring; until then it's just a hip jewelry around your wrist. Posted: 26 Feb 2010 01:01 AM PST Hallo! All mein liebe. I am about to show you exactly what you might fall asleep upon. And it’s not because it’s got a good voice for storytelling. Nay! It is because it is a bed! It’s called the “Private Cloud Model 1.2″ and it’s a real rocking bed. Really, really, for real, it will rock you to sleep. Or, if in some situations you’re going to be sleeping with a glass of water on your chest, you can also lock the rock. To lock the rock all you’ve got to do is stop the rock with the feet. The feet fix the bed in stopped motion. You can also use these feet to fix the bed in any slant you’d like for if you’re wanting to read a book or watch the television. And it comes in so many sizes! Available sizes: (Size matress) 100×200cm, 120×200cm, 140×200cm, 160×200cm, 180×200cm, 200×200cm, 220×200cm. The group that makes this bed usually takes amazing photos with models that bring forth the true essence of the product. Unfortunately, they do not come included. They’re busy sleeping on their own. Reddest Red and Whitest White to Pour Posted: 26 Feb 2010 12:35 AM PST Let me show you this lovely lady I just met. Her name is Vin-Eau and she’s not human, no, she is much more elegant. She is a carafe, and she is made of pure porcelain. Her designer is Scott Henderson and on her, he crafted nothing less than a magnificent swan with two fabulous DEVO hats on its head. What more could a lady ask for? Perhaps a bit of wine? Well lucky you, this container pours just that. Comedy for comedy’s sake aside. this is pretty much the loveliest. What do you think, fill this pretty little thing up with some wine or sake (or whatever else you want, I suppose, you could put some goldfish crackers in there if that is your heart’s true desiger). It all sounds magnificent to me. And the red and white – oh, joyous day! Posted: 26 Feb 2010 12:15 AM PST Let me put on my monocle and tell you a story. You see long ago before Swan or Edison invented the lightbulb, people used candles. When lightbulbs became the norm, the candle went the way of the wind. DUH right? Well I’m feeling a bit nostalgic so I’m keen on The Light Bulb Effect – a wax candle shaped like a bulb. The interior cavity melts straight down without deforming the outer wall and you can screw it into a standard socket. A soft light but one that’ll make everyone look gorgeous. Posted: 26 Feb 2010 12:02 AM PST One of the most enigmatic characters in the cinematic history of the world is the character “Wilson” from the television show “Home Improvement.” Not only did he have the lower part of his face obscured by a fence not all that dissimilar from the one in this post, but on the final episode when the cast stepped out on stage to bow, he brought a bit of fence with him to continue the block! That’s the kind of dedication you need in your room dividers. That’s what you get here. What you see here is a room divider that’s super super cute. It’s called the “Trennwand” and it’s a free-standing room divider. It’s also a fence, I’m sure you’ve noticed. It’s made to bend, can hold things such as magazines and newspapers in it, acts as a block for block’s sake, and it’s got a fabulous little hole in it for peeking. Kawaii!
