Meet the Judges: Steve Buscemi: Actor, Director and Lover of Art Born in Brooklyn, New York, Steve Buscemi was raised by blue collar parents a world away from the life he would later lead. Eventually he found his footing with the experimental theater company The Wooster Group and soon had his break into major motion pictures. Today, Steve Buscemi is seen as one of the most important character actors of our age with roles in such films as: Resevoir Dogs, Fargo, Ghost World, The Big Lebowski, and the upcoming Pete Smalls is Dead. Chris Weitz: Director & Producer An Academy Award nominated producer, writer and director, Weitz is best known for his work on the comedy films American Pie and About a Boy, as well as directing the film adaptation of the novel The Golden Compass. He has written or produced over a dozen films and made his lead acting debut in the Sundance Film Festival hit Chuck & Buck. Weitz recently completed his latest directorial projcet: Twilight : New Moon the second hit film in the series. Her interest in contemporary art is focused on works that challenge and critique traditional forms and means of display. Sascha Lewis: Founder of Flavorpill Sascha co-founded Flavorpill, an online arbiter of art, music and culture.
